Obama's uncle

Obama’s Uncle

We discussed how the Obama administration was going to handle the news about Obama's uncle who has been illegally in the country for over 50 years and recently got a DUI. Looks like the federal government is going to pursue the DUI as it is a safety issue for the general public. I want to know why they don't send this person out of the country first, and I think you fix the DUI issue. But here is a link to the story and everyone agreed it would be swept under the rug.

The storm last night

Somewhere around 3 AM we had a huge lightning and thunder storm that dumped a bunch of rain right on us here at Desert Beach. I usually love to see the thunderstorms but as I was hoping the dead fish would ultimately dry out down the beach and stop smelling, the thought of all that rain re-hydrating the fish made me a bit depressed.

9/11

We also discussed how horrible this 10 year observance of the September 11 attack on the twin Towers and how at the gathering there will not be allowed any firefighters, ministers, clergy, or police. All of these categories of individuals in fact died in the September 11 attack and so why is the mayor of New York City insisting that none of them be present in the memory of the victims of 9/11?

Longshoreman

Just this week we were discussing unions and wondering where the longshoreman went to. Well we found them this week in Seattle taking over adock and dumping grain because they were using another union rather than the longshoreman. It's always been longshoreman territory so we discussed what must be going on at the docks.

Power outage

We sat around wondering why the cities of Tijuana andMexicali lost power with the rest of us here in Southern California, this last week. How was it that we're pumping electric energy across the border? And who is doing it? So I'm going to start a little investigation to see if I can figure out the ends and outs of that question and I will report my findings here at the blog. One of the burning questions is "how much are they paying per kilowatt hour"? Our current power company actually charges its clients, that would be me and many others, a surcharge because they made a bad business decision several years back, and purchased power and a really ridiculous rate. They passed their bad business decision right on to the customers, such as myself, each and every month when in fact they should have insurance that protects them from poor business decisions on their part. Most of the companies would take the loss as part of doing business. Our power company, who makes poor decisions and cost money, simply passes it to its customers and most hostile fashion.

Pres. Johnson

We briefly discussed how crooked politicians are and of course Oswald came up, who was a former Marine, who couldn't shoot very well, and with a bolt action gun killed Pres. Kennedy. Highly unlikely if you ask us. I think we collectively don't believe it was Lee Harvey Oswald.

Coffee clubs all over America

Several years back, Dick, said that all across America there are people like ourselves having coffee and discussing the issues in America. It's funny to think of but I believe he's absolutely true that we are not unique but rather a small piece of a much larger coffee club. Maybe they'll start reading this blog and leaving comments from their coffee club to ours? Wouldn't that be fun.

Coffee mugs

I will put a link here to our north shore College of knowledge coffee mugs should anybody want to purchase one and have coffee with us in the absence.

That's it! Have a great and wonderful day.
